The Wakatere General Committee warmly invites all club members and their families and partners to join us for our Christmas celebration. Given the busy schedule in December, this year’s event will again take place on a THURSDAY. Be sure to mark your calendars!

• Black Stick Race & Christmas Party  

• 5pm race briefing

• 6pm race start 

• 1 race - all fleets  

The opening highlight will be the Black Stick Race. This longer race begins just off the Club and heads across the harbour to Rangitoto and back. A navigation stick we call the 'Black Stick' is used as a rounding mark, it's just off the shore from Rangitoto. Juniors may have a shortened course.

This year, Christmas comes with a splash! Our junior members are in for a treat as Salty Santa makes a surprise appearance - on the water! Expect festive fun, sweet surprises, and a few nautical twists to keep everyone smiling.

After the excitement on the water, join us for a Christmas BBQ, generously hosted by the General Committee. It's the perfect chance to relax, connect, and celebrate the season together.
