Our Club's social calendar is jam-packed with exciting events, from club racing on Sundays to Social Sailing on Thursdays plus a sprinkling of regattas. And, if you're a budding sailor or looking to brush up on your skills, our junior & youth coaching is ready to set sail all week long!
With an impressive record of breeding national and world class sailors, the Club also provides opportunities for anyone keen on taking the first step to Learn to Sail.
So, whether you're a seasoned sailor or a newbie, join us!
Membership

Membership is required for club racing & coaching and if you're itching to hit the regatta circuit, you've got to be a member of a YNZ affiliated club like Wakatere to enter.

Volunteers welcome
Our club is run by volunteers who value any and all helping hands to make our events top-notch and safe. If you're keen to dive into the action, you'll be backed up by our sailing committee, race-proven officers and skilled sailing class reps who will guide you every step of the way.
Volunteers for our Sunday duty roster or regattas will be warmly welcomed.
Each season we run training programmes for patrol boat driving (learning to rescue people and boats on the water safely) and first aid courses with a focus on our marine environment. We could use an extra hand around the clubhouse, especially with sprucing up our building and tinkering with boat engines!
