Rally for Volunteers

Wakatere Boating Club is proudly volunteer-run, and we deeply value the time, energy, and expertise contributed by both members and non-members. It’s thanks to this incredible community that we’re able to deliver safe, successful, and well-organised events year after year.

2026 marks a major milestone - our 100th year on the water! With a full calendar of club racing kicking off in late September, it’s shaping up to be another exciting season.

As we continue to celebrate the centenary milestone, Wakatere is opening its arms wider than ever. Whether you’re a seasoned sailor or simply keen to pitch in, you don’t need to be a member to get involved. From Sunday afternoon race‑day support to onshore coordination, there are countless ways to help - and every role makes a real difference.

If you’re keen to be part of the action, we’d love to have you onboard.
