The Masonic Cup is a Wakatere classic as we venture around North Head to the inner harbour. The race was originally sponsored by the former Masonic Tavern and sailors were known to leap ashore on King Edward Pde for refreshments mid-race.
Thanks to the Coleman family for their ongoing support, we can all look forward to a fun & adventurous Wakatere race day. This year we will revert to the single fleet race of old and not run it as a teams event. This is a slight Covid-19 adjustment for 2022.

Racing will start off Wakatere, passing North Head to a mark off/near the old Masonic Tavern in Devonport. The Opti Green fleet will have a shorter course.

Wakatere welcomes visitors to club racing to test the waters and enjoy the vibrant Sunday scene before joining us more permanently. We are a volunteer run club.
- $10 race entry
- Pay the Race Officer on the day
- Results will not count towards club results
- Limited to 2 Sundays per season
*The former Masonic Tavern was on the waterfront at 31 King Edward Pde (the bottom of Church St). It is now an apartment building.
