We are set to welcome new sailors to a club built on friendship, life skills, resilience, competition, and adventure - and after 100 years of dinghy sailing at Wakatere, we must be doing something right.

Every season, newcomers join our nationally and internationally recognised sailors, learning, improving, and sharing the same stretch of water. From traditional dinghy classes to the fast‑growing world of foiling, our sailors develop skills across a wide range of pathways.

With strong class leadership, club racing and regatta support, and Learn to Sail programmes for all ages, there’s never been a better time to get involved in a sport that brings people together from all walks of life.

Whether you’re a seasoned racer or just starting out, you’ll find your place.
