WBC Safety Patrol Boat Course
Saturday 2nd March 2019
All day 8:30am – 4pm
Wakatere Boating Club

Course:

This course is essential for those who wish to skipper Wakatere patrol boats. You will learn how to control a small RIB, carry out rescues safely, and be a capable support boat skipper. Places are limited to 9 club members or parents of junior club members with or without any qualifications or much experience driving a patrol boat.

The course will include both theory and practical instruction. The course is FREE but the certificate will cost each member $30. The course is offered in the expectation that you will then move into skippering patrol/safety boats at some club events.

The course will be run at the club by a qualified instructor, Phil Bishop, Auckland Sailing School. On passing, you will receive an official CBES Club Safety Boat Operator Certification.

Requirements:

You will need warm clothing or wetsuits and footwear suitable for boating, towel and a change of clothing. Please bring your own lunch and personal lifejacket if you have one. Otherwise a lifejacket will be provided.
