Firstly we would like to acknowledge the ongoing work by Wakatere BC member volunteers who help ensure the safe management of sailing at Wakatere. We have a proud history of volunteers pitching in when it's most needed.
Participation on our Duty Roster is a condition of membership as noted and agreed to in our Membership Application. It applies to afternoon Club racing.
Additional Duty Rosters are created for regattas as they arise and rely on all Club members to volunteer if they are available.
The Club has initiated a new online Management System. This is to capture and support the many existing processes that will improve the efficient running of the Club. A Duty Roster is part of this system.
All Club members (or parents of junior Club members) will be asked to fill a role at some point during the season.
NOTIFICATION OF A DUTY
Club members, or parents of junior club members can expect to receive an email notification of a Duty Roster allocation. It is critical that you follow instructions to make sure that this duty is covered either by you or another member.
Two ways to respond to the notification:
1. CONFIRM A DUTY ROSTER ATTENDANCE
2. ACKNOWLEDGE A DUTY ROSTER BUT NEED TO SWAP and then ARRANGE A DUTY ROSTER SWAP
You can login to your Members Profile page and see My Duties to arrange a swap yourself.
You can also go to My Duties and allocate yourself for any additional upcoming club racing date or regatta.
Thanks. Can't do it without you!
